About the "Georg Gerle"

The description refers to a standard version of the instrument. At your request other kinds of wood can be used. I also offer this lute as a student lute.


Back: 11 ribs of maple with black fillets

Neck: Spruce veneered with ebony

The original is number C34 in the Vienna Kunsthistorisches Museum. The body is of ivory, neck and pegbox are veneered with ivory, ebony and horn. A curious fact is that the soundboard isn't furnished with an edge.
